30 years to the day….September 23, 1986 Folk Under The Clock presented the very first concert with the, then unknown, Scottish folk singer DOUGIE MACLEAN.
We now present Scottish five-piece BREABACH who deliver a thrilling and unique brand of contemporary folk music that has earned them international recognition on the world and roots music scene as one of the UK’s most dynamic and exciting bands!

Breabach unite the talent of Calum MacCrimmon (pipes, whistles, bouzouki, vocals), Megan Henderson (fiddle, vocals, stepdance), James Mackenzie (pipes, flute, whistles), Ewan Robertson (guitar, vocals) and James Lindsay (double bass).

Voted Best Live Act 2013 & Best Folk Band 2012 at the Scots Trad Music Awards and twice nominated Best Band at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

After a whirlwind five years traversing the globe, Breabach are delighted to present their fifth studio album, ASTAR. Inspired by the people and places they have encountered, iconic venues and festivals they have performed at. ASTAR is a multicultural celebration, embracing the music of four nations in partnership with their own. The band have invited friends from Norway, Quebec, Australia and New Zealand to be part of this recording: An Australian aboriginal artist, an artist from the Maori tradition, a Hardanger fiddler from Norway and Quebec’s Le Vent Du Nord.

“Breabach once again displayed all the artfulness, ambition and imagination that set them so decisively from the pack” – Scotsman

Breabach are a truly riveting band to kick start and celebrate this 30th Anniversary Season….get your tickets early !!   Cheers !!

Since 2003 Eric Beaudry, Andre Brunet and Pierre-Luc Dupois of DE TEMPS ANTAN have been exploring and performing time-honoured melodies from the stomping grounds of Quebec’s musical past.

All three are former members of that world famous Quebec band La Bottine Souriante.

Using fiddle, accordion, harmonica, guitar, bouzouki and a number of other instruments, our three virtuosos blend boundless energy with the unmistakable joie de vivre found only in Quebec music.

Andre Brunet from the Monteregie region played with La Bottine Souriante for 10 years touring 15 countries.  At the Grand Masters Fiddling Competition in august 2008 he took home top honours as “Grand Master of Canada”.

Pierre-Luc Dupuis  from the Mauricie Region played with a number of Quebec bands before joining La Bottine Souriante in 2003. His unique humour and warm hearted charisma is his trademark in De Temps Antan.

Eric Beaudry hails from the Lanaudiere Region and began singing and playing at the age of 10. Wherever he performs, Eric’s rich vocal range and unquestionable talent on stringed instruments- guitar, mandolin and bouzouki – guarantee a rousing performance for all.
